1.What Shop?

One rule of thumb is; the bigger and more respectable the store you buy from is, the less chance you have of a transaction going wrong. Obviously fashion is a brutally competative industry, and brands want to keep you loyal as best as they can. So they’re more than likely willing to listen to your problems, help you with them, and offer exchange and returns.

Having said that though, don’t be afraid of “smaller”, less known online retailers. My friend buys continuously from an online american retailer called www.mooseshirts.com, and hasn’t had anything bad to say about them! My best advice is simply do your research, email them if you have any queries or problems, and 99% of the time you’ll recieve quick and helpful assistance.

2.Online DetailsThere is one piece of advice here more important than any other -

NO ONE will EVER randomly askfor your details over an email, or over the phone!! -

You wouldnt hand your bank card and pin number to a stranger on the street, and this kind of scam works the same way. You’ll generally only input your details once, and thats when you sign up. Any company that deals with internet transactions needs to have a seccure system for their own well being as well as yours, so theres generally nothing to worry about. Once again, email the shop if you have any concerns.

3.Size Guide

Obviously not everwhere has the same sizes of clothing, so heres a handy table to let you know what means what.

Size Guide

Unfortunatly no 2 conversion tables seem to agree!! So I tend to email them to ask for specific size details before most transactions, point them in the direction of this table, and ask them if its okay to return them if the size is wrong.

4.Terms and Conditions

Take the time to find, or ask for, the terms and conditions for buying items - for example if your buying from america how much is the shipping charge?? do they ship to the uk at all?? whats the return policy?? do they charge cheaper shipping for larger orders?? all these things add up and could save you a bundle. One dress could cost you 15 pounds in shipping charges, where 4/5 could cost you 30 pounds!!

I normally just send an email asking for their pricing guide, so i can refer back to it whenever i like, find out how much i could save on a large order, then splash some cash when I’ve saved enough money!

5.Fake Items

Recently I’ve spent some time buying off eBay, and if there’s one thing I’ve learnt it’s if it looks too good to be true, it probably is!!

Your never going to find a
